marinade

As summer is FINALLY upon us, this means a lot more grilling at our house.  I have found a really wonderful marinade thanks to the folks over at Zenbelly  It doesn’t require much, and the ingredients are likely things you already have in your fridge and/or pantry.  My favorite meat to use at the moment is boneless, skinless Chicken Thighs but I think this would work well with a grass fed Skirt/Flank steak too!

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 1 Orange
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Juice of 3 Limes
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • Large handful of Cilantro
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder

Comine all ingredients in blender until combined.  Pour Marinade into Gallon Freezer Ziploc bag…then add the meat.  I would not let this go more than an hour or so as you don’t want the meat to sit in the citrus juices too long.
